I have been interviewing musicians throughout the course of this semester, but I have not interviewed fans about their perspectives of the musicians. I aim to do that, and I want to make sure my research and data process aligns with interviews and sources I use for my story. I will use statistics and maps for my infographic on the diversity of musicians in San Diego. I have met new people while discovering different types of music.
I have come across hip-hop, rap, alternative and indie music. Learning about diversity through music helps me explore the range of artists here in San Diego and connect with a community of individuals that come from a diverse array of cities and states. Understanding how these musicians came to this city to pursue their career makes me realize the importance of networking, sharing talents and utilizing multimedia platforms to project personalities and musical abilities.
